Women's tragedy in Iran
There's a raging amount of protest in Iran caused by the sudden death of Masha Amini. The tragedy caused a wave of resistance in people. Women started to speak up even though they risk their lives. Masha Amini was a 22-year-old woman. Iranian morality police took her outside the metro station for wearing her hijab improperly. Then they transported Masha to the detention center and brutally beat her on the way. After spending three days in a coma Masha died in an Iranian hospital.
I think that what happened in Iran is an absolute tragedy. It's devastating that in the 21st-century women still don't have their rights and die because of culture. These strict laws about women's appearance in public are terrifying. The tragedy took people to the streets. Women cut their hair, burn hijabs, and stand united fighting for their freedom. I hope tragedies like this will end and people will gain the rights they deserve.
This happens when people let religious or clan leaders rule states. Fanatics are ready to kill innocent people if only they are allowed to have their way.
