Decriminalizing marijuana

 Joe Biden announces that he'll pardon people who have been convinced of marijuana possession. President wants to fulfill his campaign promises and takes a big step toward commutation punishments for cannabis use. Pardons will apply to thousands of people. Also, Biden emphasized that pardon will involve only marijuana.

  I think that Joe Biden's announcement is good news for society. Moving marijuana to a less severe schedule will make it more available. It could have a positive outcome for medicine and research about new therapies. Establishing nationwide laws about marijuana legalization would be more equitable for society. Over the last years, 6,500 people vere convinced of simple marijuana possession, but in some states, it's completely legal. Control of selling cannabis might help reduce sales of drugs among underage. Legalizing marijuana in the United States could bring a lot of benefits. Although, drugs with a high potential for abuse and no recognized medical application should stay prohibited.
